FRIENDLY MATCH - THAILAND VS INDONESIA
  • Friday March 6th & Saturday March 7th. Both games start at 8 p.m Bangkok Wasabi Leafs VS Jakarta Corruption at the Skyrink at mall Taman Anggrek. Mall Location CLICK HERE. This should be the fastest game ever played in Indonesia EVER. Also, Jakarta will try to revenge their lost to Bangkok in Singapore last year. So show up in big numbers & cheer for the local Jakarta team, here is a group photo that was takin from last years International hockey tournament in Singapore.
Tuesday December 16th
  • This was our last game of this year & Kang's last game in Jakarta:) Play will resume on January 13th, 2009. Chris is also inquiring for a left handed stick, ;)
  • Tuesday December 16th, Hockey Game 8 - 9:30 pm. This will be Kang's last game in Jakarta, he is relocating in Japan. We will miss you Kang, you are great player & a better person. Kang was always the first person to jump on the ice.
  • Tuesday December 09th, Hockey Game 8 - 9:30 pm.
  • Tuesday December 02nd, Hockey Game 8 - 9:30 pm. Chris will be joining us for Tuesday night hockey. He does not have is equipment yet from Canada, if anyone as 9.5 - 10 skates & a left handed stick to lend him until he gets is full gear, that would be great;)
  • Tuesday November 25th, Hockey Game 8 - 9:30 pm. We have 11 players & 2 goalies confirmed so far. Tuesday November 18th
  • We received bad news tonight, Mike Duncan informed us that Shawn Tkatch father passed away last week in Canada & we would like to send our deepest condolences to Shawn and is Family, May Shawn's Father REST IN PEACE! We had another good turnout tonight, thx for the beer Mike;)
  • Tuesday November 18th, Hockey Game 8 - 9:30 pm. According to Matt, we will have a good turnout this week with Mike Duncan back in town. Matt will update the list on tuesday morning.
Tuesday November 11th
  • Greg Blakney flew in from Singapore to discuss with the rink about the upcoming tournament in March & joined in for Tuesday night hockey. The meeting was a positive one, I will post more about this meeting next week. Lets welcome our newest player Gilles from New Brunswick, Canada. We could count on 2 new goalies on the new year, I had an inquiry from a Canadian family living in Australia & will be moving in Jakarta in the new year, Dad & 11 yo son are both goalies. We had another good turnout tonight & fast paste hockey game, just a little foggy though;( Greg Blakney was more interested in beer then hockey;) Cashton made some wonderful saves.

Tuesday November 04th
  • We had a good turnout tonight, 10 players + 2 goalies. Lets welcome our newest player Dave Fornier from the Embassy of Canada in Jakarta ( He told me he could not feel is legs anymore at the end of the game;) ) At the end of the game we had a discussion about the upcoming tournament in Jakarta in March 2009. It will be allot of work to put this thing together, as allot of you may know already that the ice rink that we are playing at is not really adapt for a real hockey game with real hard puck;( With the velocity of the slapshots of some of the players, we might be breaking a few glasses, I know I broke one last year & they stopped hockey for a few months..... So it would kind of disappointing if we have to stop the tournament because of a broken glass. Imagine all the guys that traveled from Qatar, Australia, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia & Singapore, that would not be fair for them! Also we don't have the real hockey nets, we will have to have some custom made for the rink. Now, all of this cost a little money, if you would like to chip in, please use the Chipin! on the right side & contribute anything you like.
